The News & Observer writes about bird-window collision project at Duke
On June 17th, the local newspaper for the triangle, The News & Observer published an article about the bird-window collision project I lead at Duke University. During this project, we have found that one building has about 74% of the collisions from a pool of 7 buildings. CIEMAS, the building in question, is also LEED certified. A team of Nicholas School students and faculty and I continue to investigate why collisions happen, where they are more common, and how to prevent them.
